Connected PR is a dynamic public relations team specialising in the promotion of technology and lifestyle related clients. They work with a number of UK and European clients including Altec Lansing, Plantronics, Twenga and Wyke Farms.
We have been working for the Connected PR team for a couple of years. The team approached us recently to look at ways to incorporate social media into the press areas they run for clients. As with many other industries the impact of services like Twitter and Facebook on public relations has been substantial. The new Connected PR site aims to create a new kind of press release landing page and creates a “one-stop” destination for sharing, downloading and interacting with a new press release.
The content management for these new press release pages allows the Connected team to assemble a state-of-the-art landing page that includes social sharing, custom tweets, a short URL, downloadable versions of the document, related media, contacts and news facts. This design makes it easy for journalists or bloggers to find all the information they need about a specific news story in one place.
To give the individual press release pages more personality we have included the ability to feature a unique background image – this can be chosen from a library by anyone editing the press areas.
